There really isn’t anything more awful and equally more amazing than being on a motorcycle for over 5 hours at a time. Your butt hurts. Your head hurts. You can’t hear shit. You’ve probably experienced 3 different climates including rain and you probably also have bugs in your teeth BUT your mind is free as can be and usually in another place. Very freeing. This is the feel I wanted to explore with Firstgear. Big bikes. On the dirt or street. ‘Run what you brung’ type of mentality. More than most of the brands, I really enjoyed shooting our apparel for this brand. Being that it was the most technically advanced materials and construction, we wanted to put it through its paces and lovingly try to beat the living shit out of it. Thus, our locales were remote windy mountain roads or trails so far off the beaten path, we may have gotten lost a few times. we definitely put the gear, ourselves and the bikes through it all and have the photos and videos to prove it. This stuff was bullet proof and the journey of bringing it to life was a blast to lead.
